Photography is more to us than just capturing gorgeous photos. A big part of Britney Clause Photography is the people we interact with. We love meeting with clients, talking about engagement sessions over email, and bonding over common interests. Getting feedback is an important part of growing as a company and individuals. Our big goal was making an update that would provide these opportunities to hear and converse more with everyone. We are always looking for ways of expanding our reach and ability to communicate. We've made a few huge changes, so check them out below. Talk to us on the Blog First, and perhaps the biggest update, is that the blog now has commenting! We used to have this feature years ago, but had to lose it with the new and cleaner site design. We've missed this feature, since we love having more opportunities for feedback on our posts. At the bottom of each blog post is a new comment section, similar to what you'll find elsewhere on the Internet. Being able to communicate directly to blog posts means being able to share your opinion and voice more readily. Whether it's a sneak peek of your wedding or a personal post from one of us, you can now join in a conversation directly with others. Shawn here! Today's blog post is an advice post for people preparing for their wedding, but it also applies to any Maids of Honor, Best Men, or parents who want to help out their friends and family. We have seen a lot of different weddings as photographers, and each one has it's own unique blend of personalities and attitudes. Some of our couples have are very diligent with a schedule and planning, others like to play the day by ear. Families can be extremely helpful and attentive to the bride and groom or they can be more excited about seeing family that live across the country. But when it comes to capturing your day, we want to make sure you get the best quality possible. There are some simple steps you can make before you get swept up in the day that will help us immensely into packing as much as we can into our limited time. Before the Wedding It seems that couples are usually so excited about getting married, they unfortunately overlook the hours before they even prepare to say "I do." It's important to remember that it's your "Big Day" and not just your "Big Few Hours." Hi everyone, this is Shawn with another update on what has been happening on my side. You can check out my other post for more information and the introduction. Off-season for weddings means that while Britney is busy handling all the incoming queries and a few other photography surprises, I've been hard at work adding some wonderful features to the site for all of our couples in addition to my other work. The improvements to the website are coming along nicely. There's a lot of things on my task list for improvements, such as a means to download all the images from your session which is more reliable and convenient. More importantly, we have an exciting new feature for all our past, present, and future couples: a client lounge! Britney mentioned one of the features briefly in a previous post, but there is a lot more exciting capabilities in store. The client lounge provides a central point of reference for all of Britney Clause Photography's couples. New clients will find inspiration on planning a wedding, from information regarding our services to helpful advice to making the most out of your engagement session and wedding. There will also be a neatly organized section for digital copies of contracts, paying your invoice, and - of course - seeing all the wonderful pictures from your photography.
